Daniel 10:12 (…) from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard (…). PRAYERS HEARD: The very first day that you fasted and prayed for a miracle, the day you prayed for a breakthrough, your prayers climbed into heaven as the sacrifice of Abel. All that you wish for, all what you’ve been praying for, your visions, your dreams, the desires of your heart, God heard them all. As a matter of fact, He opened the windows of Heaven and poured down blessings upon you. He sent Angels to come in response to your prayers; to deliver what you prayed for. But the question is, have you received those blessings? Though you have a confirmation in your Spirit, though God has revealed it in dreams and visions yet you see no difference in your situation, nothing seems to happen in the physical realm. Why, what or who exactly is keeping us from receiving what the Lord has promised us? SPIRITUAL BLOCKAGE: Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing in opposition to me for twenty-one days. Then, behold, Michael, one of the chief [of the celestial] princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia”. Certainly, there is someone blocking your blessings. Your messengers are being held in the kingdom of Persia. The prince of the kingdom of Persia represents a demon. It states the “prince” in singular. A demon kept Daniel’s Angel for 21 good days when his prayers were heard right from the beginning. How long have you been praying?, how long have you waited and still waiting because God will not promise anything He will not fulfil? Imagine how many princes and kings are retaining your Angels, imagine how many demonic spirits are keeping you from receiving what God promised. PREPARE THE WAY If this is your case, then wait no more. It is important and very powerful to be specific in prayers. Start to direct your prayers in the destruction of these kings and princes of the kingdom of Persia and any other standing in opposition to what the Lord has promised you. Upon the authority given to us by God, bind these spiritual forces of darkness, of any kind, in the heavenly realms, in this dark world and replace them with the ever burning fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ mighty name. This is what i mean by “prepare to receive your blessings”; make arrangements, clear the way off of satanic spirits and make the path ready for your Angels to deliver your blessings. A PRAYER FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN/S. Heavenly Father, I kneel down before thee, this Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night, I come to ask for forgiveness because i have sinned against you and now my sin/s crouches at my door but according to your Word, if only i will confess my sins, you are faithful and just to forgive me. Therefore i sincerely confess my sins before thee: Sin nº 1: Tell God exactly what you did Sin nº 2: Tell God exactly what you did Sin nº 3: Tell God exactly what you did Sin nº 4: Tell God exactly what you did Lord, i shouldn’t have committed those sins but i did. I don’t mean to excuse myself, i committed (sin nº 1, sin nº, sin nº3, etc.,) and i deeply regret them all. Forgive me, oh Lord as You promised to. Remember the death of Your one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ and forgive me for He was wounded for my transgressions, he was bruised for my iniquities. Just a drop of His precious Blood and i will be cleansed, pure. You said we should be pure for You are pure, holy for You are Holy. How can i when i was born a sinner?, but the same way by one man (Adam), we have all sinned and fall short of Your Glory, the same way by one Man (Jesus Christ), we have all been saved if we believe in Him. I do believe Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour and that He came to die for me, to set me free from sin. So do not take into account my sins and forgive me according to your lovingkindness. Father, i don’t want You to hide your face from me in prayer (what will be of me, then?), i want to seek You and find You, i want to call upon You and be heard, i want to knock upon the Doors of Heaven and be opened. I just want to devote myself to be close to You. How can i when my sins are like scarlet?, when they are crimson red?. Forgive me then and cleanse me: wash me with hyssop and i shall be white like snow, take away my iniquities oh Lord, my God, blot out my transgressions to remember them no more. In this very moment, i humble myself before you: Sanctify me, Justify me oh Lord, by your abundant Grace and endless Mercy. This is a new beginning God and this time not without You. I do not want to return to my past life, to my old way of thinking and behaving -those years are behind me- so Father, do not allow the Enemy to bind me to the World. Whatever i have that belongs to him i give it back in Jesus’ name -I am not friends with him- Break off of me the consequences of my sins, oh God, together with my guilt, my shame, my disgrace, etc. Give me a clear conscience and from now onwards, please keep me from sinning against You as You kept king Abimelech from sinning against you. I thank you for sacrificing your One and only begotten Son for me -so unworthy-. Thank you Jesus for doing our Father’s will even when you were overwhelmed by the pain. God is calling us all to repentance; the believer and the non-believer alike Jeremiah 3:12. In the case of the believer, repentance doesn’t occur only on the day we raise our hands and accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour, no. Repentance in the life of the believer happens on a daily basis because we (the true believers) seek God’s face every single day and before we go before His Throne in worship, we ask to be forgiven and be cleansed first, because God is Pure and He demands us to be pure as well. When we go to God for forgiveness, let us not just tell Him “Father, forgive me my sins”. No, let us tell Him exactly what we did, not because He doesn’t know. He knows it all. He told Jeremiah what Israel did: “you have scattered your favours among strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,” (Jeremiah 3:13). Also in the 2nd Chapter, God specifically mentions one by one what the Israelites did that displeased Him and told Jeremiah: but “let them come and acknowledge their wickedness and guilt”. Furthermore, repentance is not just the art of confessing one’s sins. No, there is more to it. When we break down the definition of Repentance, it consists of the following steps: Change your inner self—your old way of thinking, this is the first step whereby you come into the realization of the things you’re doing that displeases God. Regret past sins = then you regret those things deeply and you Confess, Live your life in a way that proves repentance; Seek God’s purpose for your life Live from then on believing i.e with a deep, abiding trust in the good news regarding salvation. Once we repent, we have to move on to the next step and so on and so forth. At the first step we are empty and need to be filled. If we are not feeding on the Word of God, Satan will come back for us, he will tell us we were better of living in this dark world. Other than the common sins we know of: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkennes, orgies, and the like. Galatians 5:19-21, (that we need to repent of plus the other nine commandment if we are breaking them), there are other certain things we are doing (consciously or unconsciously) that as well displeases God Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me”. < p style=”text-align: justify;”>We read this in our Generation and it might not make a lot of sense to us but it is a sin as the worshipping of other gods/idols led the Israelites into captivity. God finally punished them after sending them prophet after prophet to warn them and to tell them to turn from their sinful ways. We might say “we are not worshipping any other god apart from God, that we do not have any idols. I understand but in our Generation, an idol isn’t solely a carved image of someone or something one bows down to. Another meaning of an idol is something or someone we love more than God, whatever or whoever we place before God is an idol. God made it very clear in Exodus 20:3 that we should not have any idols apart from Him for He is a jealous God -the very first commandment but the Israelites broke it on spot- what about you? There are a lot of things we tend to make idols out of but let us look at the ones God drew my attention on: Jobs/work: some people tend to refuge themselves in their works when they go through hardships. When they are in sorrow, when they feel lonely, they work to keep their minds off of their trouble. Ok., that doesn’t take away the problem though. Only God can. In this case, we place our jobs before God. Alcohol: The Book of Proverbs warns against alcohol. If in times of trouble, alcohol is what we turn to, we can’t get rid of it, we just need another glass of wine, champagne or whatever it is alcoholic we are drinking. No, WE NEED TO PRAY!. Alcohol will not solve our problems, it will make things worst instead. It will destroy you as person. At the least, it bites like a serpent. Alcohol is then keep us captives. Money: the love of Money. Some people think money will solve all of their problems. I am sorry but NO, there are certain things in life money just cannot afford to pay. For instance: the air that we breathe, the ability to wake up every morning with blood running through your veins, etc., they are given to us by Grace. We then become captives of money. Marriage: the desire of marriage has now turned into an obsession and that obsession is our captivity. Not only are those who wish to get married obsessed but their families, especially their parents are also obsessed. We become captives of that obsession. Career: we place our careers before God. We forget that He is the one who planted that seed in us. He is the One who gave us that dream to pursue. Once we are where we wanted and we are called to serve God, we always find excuses not to: we’ve got things to do, we are too busy, really?, who made that career possible?, who placed us there in the first place?. How about putting God first in all we do?. Social media, especially whatsapp: That i believe is the most recent form of an idol we are worshipping in our Generation. I am not saying it is bad and we should not use it. What i am saying is that we should not have our hearts in it; it becomes a problem when our hearts are it. We are worshipping whatsapp, facebook, instagram, etc., when we spend most of our time in there. The chatting, the sending of videos, pictures, etc. If we have a problem, if we find ourselves in need, let us not connect these apps and talk to friends and families about it. Let us tell God first, at least. God told Jeremiah that his own family he cannot trust. So, if we cannot trust our own families imagine the people we are chatting with on social media, especially whatsapp, people we haven’t seen in years and others we might never meet. We have to realise that All these things are the deeds and plans of the enemy to divert us from the presence of God. Today, God is calling us to repentance, He is telling us to reconsider our ways and return to Him with all our hearts, with all our minds; our attention, He deserves it all. He has earned each and every inch of us. Psalm 141:2: May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Constant communication through prayer and wholeheartedly to God the Father and Jesus the Son: Keeps us afloat our problems: You might have lost your job, not being in any Godly relationship, no money; almost an empty bank account, with your tuition fee pending, just to name a few of the struggles of life and just not care. You know your Father will provide. He provides for the birds in the sky (Matthew 6:26), how much more us, human beings, created in His own Image and Glory? We will be on top of our problems because we know our redeemer lives and He is in control. Why worry?. Makes us experience the covering of the Presence of the Most High: This is an amazing experience. There is nothing like the covering of the Presence of God. It is so fulfilling. Once you reach that state, you would never want to live without that covering, although it doesn’t come to stay. You will yearn for Him over and over again but bear in mind that He only comes when He has to. The Holy Spirit becomes more alive in you: dethroning the Flesh; giving you power over sin. He is able to develop in you (firstly) and afterwards He develops you. He then does His job by teaching you, bringing everything to your remembrance, comforting you, interceding in prayer when you do not know what to say, etc. You live in the Spirit: being governed by the Holy Spirit, you do not live in the Flesh but in the Spirit; you no longer follow the standards of this World neither do you relish in the fleeting pleasures of the World but in accomplishing the will and purpose God has for you, with your thoughts fixed on Him alone. The desire to please God: there is this feeling in your heart, the desire to please God at all times. You just want God to delight in you just as He delights in Jesus, so you are constantly looking for ways, things to do to please Him (be it serving in Church, caring for the poor, proclaiming the Word to others, etc.), but they are never enough. There’s nothing you want more than to do the Father’s will. You really want to walk in the steps of Christ and be a true example of Him. MARK 1:15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. My brother/sister, God is calling you today to repentance and to believe the Gospel. He is your Creator, He is your Master, He is your Provider, He is your Father (and more) and He loves you very much. He has earned every inch of you by purchasing you with the precious blood of His one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ and He wants you to be with Him in Heaven for eternity. Sinners will not inherit the Kingdom of God. See, God is pure, He is righteous, He is Holy (He says we should be holy for He is Holy). His eyes cannot see sin, that is why when Jesus became sin on the cross, Jesus said “Father, why have you forsaken me” because God looked away. That is how pure our God is. GOD WANTS THE BEST FOR US: God only wants the best for us all. “I have set before you life and death, therefore choose life,…” (Deuteronomy 30:19). You see? God doesn’t desire for us to die, for us to perish but Sin will only lead us to death, to eternal destruction. Hell is real! For the wages of Sin is Death (…). Sin won’t take us to Heaven and God really wants us to be there with Him for Eternity. Is it bad for God to tell us not steal, not to kill, not to commit adultery, etc?., is it bad for God to tell us to love our neighbour as ourselves?, Some people instead of this, tend to say, God does not exist, to give them the excuse to take advantage of other people. God is love and He is real. He says it for our own good, for us to live in perfect peace and harmony. You might say, well i don’t do any of these things. O.k, but may i ask you this: do you want to go to Heaven and will you allow a stranger to live in your house forever?. The same applies to the Kingdom of God. If you don’t believe in Jesus Christ and the Gospel, you do not know God. How do you expect Him to open the doors of Heaven to you?!, He doesn’t know you. In Matthew 12:30, He says “he who is not with Me is against Me”. Unless you repent, believe the Gospel and live the life God called you to live; unless you are seeking His face fervently, you are against Him. THE MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE I believe you have heard the message of repentance over and over again: Repent!, for the Kingdom of God is at hand, Repent, Jesus is coming soon. But do you really repent when you hear the message or do you go about your life as usual?. I know this message has been preached for more than 2000 years and Jesus still hasn’t come but how long can a human being live? God forbid, but if you perish tomorrow there will be no chance for repentance. You cannot say you’ll repent when you reach a certain age either just because you have no control over that age; tomorrow is not in your hands to grasp. Do not be deceived by Sin, by Satan, by the world, by friends and family. Take hold of today, Repent!, and seek your Creator now that He can be found, call on him while He is near.
