Wrestle For Your Blessing!

In today’s post, we follow up the previous message “PREPARE To Receive Your Blessing” with “WRESTLE For Your Blessing”. Genesis 32:22-28.

Verse 24 “So Jacob was left alone, and a Man [came and] wrestled with him until daybreak”.

The Angel of the Lord appeared unto Jacob in the form of a Man. Jacob knew who He was and he was determined to get what he knew that Man or Angel could give him.

What about you?

Do you know the God you serve?, do you know what He is capable of? Did you know He can level out mountains that dare raise themselves up against you?.

I am glad you prepared to receive your blessings (refer to previous message), that you cleared the road off of all blockages to make it possible for your Angel to reach you with your blessing/s. But, now that he is finally here, how desperate are you to receive them?. How much do you yearn for these blessings of God upon your life? Will you wrestle with your angel for your blessings?

Then, please do!

How?

Verse 25 “When the Man saw that He had not prevailed against Jacob, He touched his hip joint; and Jacob’s hip was dislocated as he wrestled with Him”.

You see, there’s a difference between to fight and to wrestle. When you wrestle, the level of intensity is higher. If you’ve ever watched WWE, you’ll know what i am talking about. They break their necks, their waist, etc. Even boxing, if you compare boxing with wrestling, the degree of intensity is lower than that of wrestling. That was how desperate Jacob was; he was far beyond desperation. So he did not fight, he did not box, instead he wrestled to the extent of having his hip dislocated. Imagine the pain, yet he was determined to receive his blessing and ultimately, he did in Genesis 32:27-28.

Place yourself in the shoes of Jacob and wrestle with your angel. If Jacob had his, you will surely have yours as well. God promised, He will bless us when we go out and He will bless us when we come in, He promised His blessings will chase and overtake us.

Today, do WRESTLE for the blessing your Angel has brought and you shall have it, in Jesus’ name.

Amen.
